Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Deeply cut water flow valley with rocky outcrops on its slopes. Bedrock consists of light migmatites of the Gföhl type and fine grained granulites with small serptentinite bodies. The relief was strongly affected by frost weathering, so, frost cliffs and block fields are common. Nature Reserve protects interesting relief and natural forests.
